After 1 year in the MBA, I feel happy I have been able to accomplish one of my objectives when I decided to move to Europe: to travel a lot.
I like travelling, and since my first month I have been trying to go to new places. In fact, before classes began last year I had already been in Dublin and Edinburgh (each of them deserve a special post).
But this time I don't just want to talk about all the places I have been to, I want to share only the trips related with the actual MBA. I was thinking about the international experience of the programme and how it is reflected on the fact that you meet and work with people from so many countries, but for me it has also been reflected on the trips around Europe.
During my first year at the MBA programme, my first business related trip was to London. I was working with my group in a consultancy project and we had to organise and conduct a market research using specialised facilities for qualitative research.
Ok, you can say that my first trip was domestic, since I only travelled from Manchester to London, but the second trip was to participate in MBAT, held in Paris, France. This is the major sporting event for European Business Schools and we had a terrific time, we came 3rd place in football and we got to see Paris' main attractions.
Finally, during my summer internship I was sent to Amsterdam in order to develop the project I was working on. I learnt a lot during that trip and I could truly feel the nature of international business.
In 1 year many things have happened, there have been "ups" and "downs". But for me, travelling and seeing the world is definitely a big "up".
Very interesting interview!
