Cultural activities in Manchester

When you get sunny days in Manchester like the one we are having now I feel like writing about the different activities you can do in Manchester:

MOSI: One of my favourites is the Museum of Science and Industry, which shows why Manchester was one of the places where the Industrial Revolution originated in.

Imperial War Museum: Impressive museum where the history of different wars is displayed in a chronological order.

Art Gallery: Art galleries in the UK are amazing and the one in Manchester is no exception.

Football: With 2 world class football teams in the city is always fun to go and watch a game. If it is not a game day you can visit The Old Trafford or Etihad Stadiums anyway.

Classic concerts at the Bridgewater hall: I have been lucky enough to go to this beautiful place a couple of times. It has been especially built to obtain perfect acoustic.

T+1 month, settling in Manchester

This week is going to be 1 month since I arrived to the UK and I have many things to write about. The pre-MBA classes have already started and I’m pretty much settled in. I will write more about the Business School and the classes in the next posts, but right now I would like to share my experience settling in.

T - 1 month for departure!!!!!

We already left our home and sold almost everything. We are 1 month from departure and we are ready to begin this new adventure. To me this is what life is about, traveling the world with the person you love. I'm very excited but also very melancholic, because I'm going to miss my family and friends very much.

It is time to settle everything over here and start our home hunting in Manchester, probably to get an apartment half the size we had and twice the price. This last month I should  practise my English to worm up (like when I was preparing the Toefl), get some pounds sterling and prepare my luggage.

I like to be careful with expectations, so I just hope everything goes well and I will work hard to make the most out of this experience personally and profesionally.

By the way, reading this article published in Transforming Management I became aware of the existence of a very exciting presentation tool called Prezi. I'm still getting the hang of it but I'm with a lot of ideas to see how it works.

Meeting my new class mates on line

This is what I find amazing of the development of technology and social platforms, I will not be arriving in Manchester for another 3 months and I already started to meet my MBA class mates through the internet.

The endless waiting

It has been 1 month since I confirmed my place at Manchester Business School and I can tell you this: the waiting is killing me.
