I'm 2 weeks away from departure, time is scarce to finish everything in the to do list and say good bye to everyone, but I'm already thinking about my arrival and one of the things that I'm expecting is to meet my classmates.
We've been in touch thanks to Facebook, so we are already networking, i.e. organising welcome parties and trips so we can get to know each other better. I already spoke with one of my classmates from Peru through Skype and we are arriving on the same day, so if we are lucky we might even be able to share the cab.
So I'll just have to wait a bit longer and in a couple of weeks I'll be meeting in person all my new friends from the MBA programme.

World Cup fever
There is one common subject among the different networks I belong to: The World Cup of South Africa. No one will talk about anything else during this month and it will help to releive the anxiety of the waiting, because when the World Cup finishes it will be 3 weeks fo departure.
I truly think this event helps to bring people together, we have been talking about it with my future MBA class mates through facebook and we have made forecasts of the results with friends and people from work, so keep enjoying it and let the best team win (I hope is Chile).

Meeting MBS alumni
When I received the acceptance letter from MBS I felt part of the community right away. I was given access to the internal web site called MBSNet and also I was given contact information of alumni working in Chile. At the time I hadn't decided whether I was going to MBS or not, so I contacted one of the alumni listed in the email to find out more about the school and his experience as a student. The result was a surprise to me.
