One of the things I'm expecting from the MBA programme is to interact with people from all over the world. I'm really looking forward to find out about the paradigms that bound business in other continents and how different or similar they are from the paradigms we have over here.
When I went on exchange to Australia in High School I learnt how important it is to be open minded in order to get rid of prejudice and understand other cultures. I am amazed at the speed of technology development, which allows easier on line communications from anywhere in the world. All of this is what globalisation is about, there are no boundaries and the world is full of opportunities.
For me, to move from South America to Europe to get an MBA is more than just getting a degree hoping to have a dramatic salary increase after graduation, for me it is an opportunity to develop as a person and a professional learning from the experiences of interesting people from all over the world. It's very exciting to think that probably I will be learning more from my class mates than from the teachers.
For this reason I looked for Business Schools that were explicit about their commitment to have students from a wide variety of nationalities. What are you looking for from your MBA programme?
