I have learnt lately that the challenge with doing business at a global scale are the domestic differences among the countries. The current technological developments make it easy to connect at a global scale, but that is different from operating and selling at a global scale.
It is possible to see that in Latin America a lot of the countries have the same language (Spanish) and in Europe a lot of the countries have the same currency (Euro), but there are cultural differences among countries even if they are all European, Asian or Latin American. We can find countries that speak the same language but have different currency or countries with the same currency that speak a different language, so I think the challenge of a global business is to be flexible enough in order to be able to adjust to local conditions.
